IdahoTerritory 150 year road Trip!

Did you know that in the year 1863 Idaho Territory was created! That means this year is Idahos sesquintual (I can bearly say it let alone spell it) 150 year birthday! In celebration of this Melissa and I decided we need to take this opportuntity to take to the Northern Idaho road trip that we have always talk about! So Emily was kind enough to humor Melissa and I on all the awesome stuff we wanted to do! I ran into my institute teacher (Bro. Laga) that once lived in there and he thankfully he gave us an outline! Well anyone who knows anything about Idaho there is no direct route to Northern Idaho from Southern Idaho! The reason why is the Idaho Bathalith! A huge chunk of basalt that is in the middle of Idaho and really prevents any true settlement! So the fastest way to Northern Idaho is to go through Montana!
My camera broke! Boo! We had already had a blast at this point! We will forever remember the loneliest whale! You will never be as lonely was this whale! I love it!
We really wanted to go to a ghost town! Bannock according to Brother Laga is a real ghost town! I was really really sad to find out that a flash flood in July took the town out and it was closed for reconstruction! I was super sad! This is my super sad face!
The next stop on the trip was the Battle of Big Hole! This was a major battle between the Nez Pierce Native American Tribe and soldiers! The Nez Pierce had been running through Idaho and this Battle happened just over the boarder in Montana! I read a Chief Joseph so I was really excited to see it!
The battle ground!
These are Tee-pees that a decedent set up to honor their ancestors!
A close up on the tee-pees! It was really interesting to see the place where the people had set up their camp without the realizing a different army where right behind them! I loved the battle field it was well worth the drive!
