Thanksgiving

So last year I felt a little bad because I wasn't ready to give up the senior citizen center and Dave didn't even say anything! Later I found out that Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday! So this time I felt every ambitious and I volunteered to cook Thanksgiving! Let me remind you that I really don't cook! Like any thing! What a better way to start then Thanksgiving dinner! Dave was so very excited! He just wanted to play and watch football all day! The best part of cooking for Thanksgiving Dinner is when your grandpa is Kent Whitworth you seriously don't have to make as much as you might have if you just had a normal grandpa! Grandpa made the gravy and stuffing (I did help)! I was going to make homemade rolls, but I didn't want to ruin the rolls because still to this day Dave's family always make fun of him for eating 27 one year! It was really fun! We sat around with all of his younger brothers and talked! We ate pizza and have a blast! On Thanksgiving we went to the senior citizen center to help make the stuffing. On we went back we stopped at my grandparents house.
Erika followed Dave everywhere he went! If he put her down to she would put her hands up for him to pick her up again!
So I had been going thawing the turkey for three days but I think it was still cold! When I was reading all the turkey recipes it said to use butter and in my head it meant melted butter. Well the butter that was melted on a cold turkey it turns back to normal butter. Also out of all of the recipes not one of them told me how to the the turkey in the bag! So when I attempted I may or may not flipped the butter and seasoning all over the kitchen!
Here is some even after I cleaned I found it later that night!
Here is some of the turkey!
Yams! Because my mom insisted it isn't thanksgiving with out yams! It was Jeff's first time having yams!
They ate most of them!
Rhodes rolls! So that I didn't mess them up!
In the end no one died so I think that it was a success!
