Humming Birds

So my friend Jill is a PT and she one of her paitents lives in Inkom and at his house there is a large amount of humming birds! So large that a researcher/professor comes all the way from Alabama to tag and measure the hummingbirds! So they invite Jill to come and see this and she invited us! I was super excited but it was super cold! So these are a few of the pictures that I took of my hummingbird extravagansa!
This is a picture of Fred (the professor) measuring the tail of the hummingbird! Did you know that hummingbirds trail up to 2000 miles in their migration! I do, well I do now!
Inside these bags are hummingbirds waiting to be tagged and measured!
This is Jill's friend's little girl! She is holding a humming bird!
This is one of the five feeders that had hummingbirds around it!
It is a little fuzzy! But this is me holding a hummingbird! I was super nervous because I don't really like animals and I have recently started to hate birds but I couldn't pass up that kind of an opportunity! I held to hummingbirds and got to feel one's heart beat! It was awesome!
This is Fred measuring a beak!

This is Fred showing us the "bread" of a male hummingbird! The feathers are lueminisent meaning that they change from black to pink depending on the way you hold it! He told us about the different types of hummingbirds but I don't remember that they were!

Don't watch the video of all the way! I tried to turn it off but obviusly it didn't work!

Such a pretty view it Inkom!
