Productive day and Playing with Kyle on the Friendly River!

So at the beging of the summer I brought home this enormous bag of stuff to do! I had the best of ententions going into the school year completely prepared in my history class and many other things! Well now that summer is officially over in 4 days I figured that I should get on it! I really put it off forever but since I wanted to paint less (another unfinished summer goal along with remembering to put the garbage out- the recycling is over flowing I keep missing its week)! I actually planed about 3 days worth of history including 2 powerpoints! I also did an outline of a project for my ISAT kids and a lesson planish for the first day with them!
The problem is that I didn't have a very good excusses when I talked to Kyle to not play with him! The original plan was to go to grace and play in the flune but because our thrid party Robbie couldn't come we decided to go with Kim (old room mate) and Jana floating the river! We had a great time floating down the River going on the waterfalls and Trying to stay together! We also saw the invention of the taco tube because Kim's tube deflated so much that she wasn't really floating any more! After they were done Kyle and I decided to take one last trip!
Now for the friendly river part (not like you don't met people on the river- you know the weird I am so sorry that my tube is bumbing into you thing so I will make polite conversation just to make it less awkward- I am talking acutal friendliness!) When we get up to the top of the hill I hear "Excuse me, how do we get down?" A lovely lady in a black bikini with a different accent comes up to us! She also had a man with her that she spoke to in a different languae that wasn't Spanish (I am pretty proud I could tell because Kyle couldn't)! So we decided that we would show them how to float the river! The Portneuf is really quite easy once you have done it but it can be scary if you have never done it before especially as you are getting into the water and they ask you how to get into the tube! So after some demenstrations we were off.
Well we went off the firstwaterfall the big one and then there is a lull in the action! Here I learn that they are from Italy. She came here on a study abroad program for a month 3 years ago and they were back for a visit! They were staying with friend in Pocatello! Then we go to go down the second waterfall and the poor guy goes to the right when he needed to be to the right! he comes out with so pretty nice scrapes on his back! I asked him about His feet because they didn't have any shoes because I told them to hold on to their flip flops because they would lose them! (Ok the good thing is that I didn't yell at him in English but I still tried to talk to him! I also asked them if they had any tenna shoes but apartly they didn't get what I was saying and I couldn't think of anything else to say) He did pick up his feet when I talked to him so He probably understood a little bit. When we were all back on the tubes safely. We taught them to hold the handles so that they could stay together! It was great until we told them to get off! We should have showed them how to do it! They took to long and got off in the shallower swifter part! Well she fell off the tube lost her shoe and he did her best to help her and to fell off! Well Kyle and I caught the tube and shoe but we were now faced with some problems! Well first because she had no shoes she couldn't get acrossed the river to the other side of the bank where she needed to get out! I made Kyle get up there and help her! It was pretty funny because was trying to explain to the guy that if he kept the tubes out of the water then it wouldn't pull him as much! I just sit there holding Kyle and my tube waiting making funny face at the guy (not creepy ones just funny)! So finally kyle get her to walk down to where her tube is to get into it and paddle across. While he is up with her she tells him that she is glad that she didn't get hurt because she thinks she might be pregnant! AHHHH Kyle thinks in his mind I wouldn't have let her go on the river at all if I had know that! But needless to say it was their only trip down the river and Kyle thinks that she said God bless to him!
Then as Kyle and I were floating more we went to get out some older people that were getting out of the mineral pools in the hotels asked us to if the water was cold were we were swimming! Well if you have ever talked to me you would find that I can't just tell simple stories like this post it is forever long! So didn't just say yes or no like a normal person I decide to have a little conversation! I said well normally it isn't that bad but last week we were at Mackay. Do you know where Mackay is? Oh your from San Fanisco wow your far away from home. Mackay is in the northern part of south earstern Idaho where mount Borah is. And that water is freezing there! I mean cold because they keep the water in a Resivor and it is 90% full and that is very unual for this time of year so the water hasn't had time to heat up! Then they asked us where you get in and I asked them if they knew where the Thai food restraunt was and hald said yes and half said no! Then we found out that that was were they were eating dinner and they wanted to know if they could walk there. So we said yes they could if you just kept walking up the hill you would run right into it it used to be a gas staytion but the food was really good there, I don't like food like that and I like it there!
So we finally got out of the river and then while Kyle ran and went to go get the car I stayed and told the tube lady about our friendly trip down the river!
