Veterian's Day Mishap
So on Thursday I had a really bad day. But let me tell you how it began. We had an assembly for Veteran's Day we went out side for the raising of the flag and then a 18 gun solute, then a deication of the mermorial garden and then we ended in the gym! We met in 1st hour and then they called the students down. I had to speak to a student for poor performance on her job shadow and then take role. As I am walking out to the Flag pole I realize that it is first hour and I have no clue where my special education students are! I have two girls we shall call Bobett (down syndrome) and the other Suse (about the kindergarten level)! They had just left with the rest of the students. When I arrived I was looking for them but since I could only see the students in front of me it didn't do much good! Blast this 5 foot body! So out of no where bobett finds me and says she is scaried of the guns. I tell her it will be fine but she baries her head into my arm. When we start to move to the garden I ask Bobett where is Suse and she says "I don't know" then she proceeds to yell Suse's name no matter how many times I tell her to shush! When we get to the garden still no Suse I am praying that another girl who helps Suse in class has her! When we get into the gym I find Bobett's sister and she takes her so I can go look on the Freshman side for Suse! I find a tall boy from my class offers to help look. And not less then two seconds he finds her! Suse was with a random girl (who had found her and Bobett earlier this year when Michael let them come visit me in the library by themselves and they got lost and were scaring people as they walked passed the lockers boy did I give Michael an earful hopefully he won't read this blog good thing he is a boy)! Needless to say I made Suse come sit with me in the Teacher section for fear of losing her again. This is just prove that i am in no conidtion to have my own children and believe I should start with a plant!

Ok, I cracked up when I read this. Bobett. What a great nickname for her.And I could totally see her continuing to call suse while you shushed her. Did she say she was sorry?
Thanks for taking good care of her. She has loved being in your class, it was a great start to her freshman year.
