Seattle Food!

So when people ask me about Seattle and how it went, all I really want to talk about is the food! I was really Brave, when it came to school! The first day I was really hungry! I get really grumpy when I am super hungry!
These are Fish and Chips from Iver's! They were so good because I was so hungry!
This was the view from Iver's! I thought it was pretty awesome although the waves made me a bit woosie!
I loved the Fresh Fruit from Pike's Place! I bought some rombutan for Natalie! They are the red green spikey things in the middle!
The Daily Dozen Doughnuts! Oh these are the yummies things every!

Something that is even better then the food is the people that we saw! Holy Cow! One of my favorite people I will call the Pickle Lady! We were look at the non chemical homemade pickles and this lady decides to tell us all about the pickles and how good they are for you! (You should know she didn't work there) She also told us how they taste so good and to bad she just finished the free samples of her favorite one because is the best!
Then we noticed this lovely gem! The Pickle lady then informs us that this is the best/heathly thing that you could possibly do for ourselves! She informed us that if we would do shot then she would  do another shot (she had already had two and she also claimed that she why she had lost all of her baby weight! I seriously loved her, she was crazy!)
This Cheryl taking a picture of all of us getting ready to do a very healthy shot!
Me with me shot! I really did drink it! It wasn't to bad, but I would deffenatly not have one every day or three in one day! The lady in the back with the orangish/redish hair is the Pickle Lady!
And what do you chase a brine shot with? Ice cream of course! They called this area pregnant alley for the pickles and ice cream a crossed from eat other!
I really like to take pictures with my food!
I really don't like sea food but I think when I am on vacation I think I get super brave because if you would have told me I would have ate so much sea food I would have told you no way! But this trip I did from cod to shirp to smelt!
This is Trent (the lone man in our group poor guy) Megan, and Krysti,
Cheryl and I at the Sushi place!
I didn't eat this but Trent and Cheryl did! They said that it was really good! I couldn't believe it, it was raw! Crazy!
This is what I ordered!  Sushi Cucumbers! I don't like the sea weed on the out side of the sushi!
Some of our other sushi options!
I did get really eat this sushi though! It was a rock n roll kind! It had deep fried shrimp in the middle! If I had to eat sushi I would eat it again but if not then I wouldn't! I would like to point out that all of the above adventurous food happened on the first day! I am super excited about it!
This is the fruit stand that developed after the first day in our hotel room!
This is the place that we ate lunch at the second day! It was super yummy! I had a chicken burrito!
It was huge!
That night we started dinner off right with Gelato Italian ice cream! It was so good!
Then at the wine tasting bar I tried patae!Goose Liver! Holy Gross! I could not drink enough water or eat enough crackers to get the taste out of my mouth! GROSS!
The next place was appetizers at a other place! Crab Cake, Smelt, and chicken Spring rolls! The Crab Cake and the spring rolls were good but the smelt was totally disgusting! Oh man it was bad!
Later that night we ate a a cup cake place to round everything off nicely! (we were a tad sad that the Gelato place was closed)
The next day for lunch I ate this sandwich! It was super good! I am sad to say that night we went to a sponsors dinner so I didn't take a picture of what I ate!
This was the best Apple I have ever tasted! It was super duper yummy!

Seattle

So many of you know that I was seriously nervous (to say the least) to take the job as a librarian! I can now say that I am super excited to say that I really love my job but mostly it is because of the people that I work with! I went to Seattle a few weeks ago for a NCCE conference! It was SO much fun! We started by driving to Boise! We made quite a few stops for potty breaks!
This is a picture of Cheryl and Megan at the Boise Airport! They really loved the message chairs!
This Cheryl Trent Krysti and I on the train going to Seattle from the airport!

Hmmm... Seriously Worst Sister

Sometimes you try to do something nice for someone, like apply to college your little brother!  But then as time passes and you aren't getting a reply it makes you super nervous! Then you find out that your brothers application is incomplete! I feel horrible so I went to figure out what I missed! He was missing a language proficiency test! What! What is that and how does he take that! Weird! So I emailed the admissions office!
Here is what reply!
Blast! Catalan! I am not sure how I missed that!  Seriously I am the best sister ever!

Not a Valentines Rant!

This is not a Valentine Rant! That is pretty amazing for me!
One of my aides made this bracelet for me! So cute!
Natalie heart attacked my car! She is seriously the bestest friend every!
Funny Story! So I was trying volunteer my singles ward to do some service for the Senior Citizen Center! Well after some miss communication I tired to tell her that I was from the Whitworth Family and that is why I wanted to help! She instantly said Oh we are having a dance on Valentines day you can  help with that! I said Ok but call me not my uncle (repeated it like 3 times) and then gave her my number! She didn't call me! She called Uncle Lin! So funny!
Here are my Valentine! Best one ever! If I could find a man like him I would marry him!
Jaclynn and Whitney with Uncle Lynn! He recruited them to help us!
The Party!
Uncle Lynn danced one dance with all of us! He is such a Gentleman!

The Olympics Opening Ceremonies!

The Winter Olympics are here! I love them! We decided to have a party! It was a lot of fun! I loved it! We talked all the way through the ceremony but it was about the ceremonies so it wasn't bad!
Pretzels to represents Germany!
These are Jill's Gold eye to inspire the USA (She was wearing red white and blue) to win Gold!

Sledding at Aunt Brenda's

On January 18th Aunt Brenda (From the Whitworth side) invited us to come out and sled or at least eat some Chilly! My mom said that there wasn't any snow! So we were a tad under dress!
So excited to watch our cousins sled!
I love Alex's face! Please know that I am now a brunette! I have been this way since Christmas! I love it but I every time I look at pictures I think How did my mom get into that picture!
This is Timmy and Andy sledding down from the top together on the flyer!
This is their crash at the end!
The view from on top! I love Inkom it is so Beautiful!
I love this so much! Erin, Megan, Me, and Amanda all on the four wheeler! It was a lot of fun to spend time with Whitworths!
So as we were watching the sledding Uncle Lin came to and told us that if we didn't go down from the top then we were Chicken Sh&*! It was really funny because I just can't have my Uncle Lin thinking of me as that! So I decided to go!
Me sledding in my levi's and cowboy boots!
I didn't do this but they took a hood of a car and hooked it to the four wheeler and pulled it!

Weired

This is an email I sent to Kyle!

I got a called to day from a weird number. It was the Missionaries in my area wondering if I would still like to hear a message from them! I laughed at them and asked if they were LDS and then told them I was already a member, for my whole life! I said that may be my number was there by mistake probably because I was helping fellowship someone!  Funny! But then the more I thought about it the weirder it was so I decided to google the area code! It was from Texas! Specifically Brownsville, McAllen, Laredo and South Padre Island, Texas areas! Why are people from your area calling me like I am an investigator! The number was _________! So weird! Did you right my number down if an area book?
Love Ya,
Melissa

This is what I got back from Kyle:

Oh yes so about that... So my last companion love him to death but he had some problems with playing jokes and being obedient. So about that super sorry that that happened. Well so the story starts when my companion and I are cleaning the area book out which the other missionaries before us were not too well at keeping it up to date. However, the missionaries before that did save investigators numbers under an investigator section so I come up with the idea to call the numbers to see if the people would be interested again. So I look for a name that isn't spanish so my greenie could call so it would be in english. SO I look and find a name that is super white so I handed the phone to him and then he calls it. He starts to talk then says oh your a member? Oh for your whole life? So I am think oh sweet a less active in our area no one knows about we'll visit them! then I hear him say the name aloud and signal for him to hang up! to not talk more. Then I have the most shocked face in the whole world like how did that number get in the phone?!? Then the spirit of my conscience tells me that is was my last companion before hand I think he got it when I said it to the member that called you for college stuff. I was not happy with him. So my greenie called you during weekly planning. Super duber sorry. We earazied your number from the phone completely so that won't happen again we laughed then went on with more planning. So don't worry I am being obedient and not writing your information in area books. It is the craziest thing that you were the first person we called. weird is the right word. So don't call the number you have because that would be us. haha fun to laugh about now. super wiered out too.  My greenie was just glad it was in english he didn't mind. Love ya!

Oh I love this story! How I miss this boy!
