Hike Scout! (Well kind of)

Natalie and I forever have said at the end of the summer we are going to hike Scout Mountain! And every summer we don't do it! Well not this summer! This is the summer of acomplishing goals! So Natalie and I woke up early (8:00) morning and drove up the Scout Mountain camp ground where we thought the trail head started! We looked it up on the internet the day before! After driving around the camp ground we found what we thought was the Scout Mountain Trail Head (There was a sign that said it was)! SO we went on the trail that we found first!
We took pictures in front of the sign!
Yes the sign does say East Fork Mink Creek Trail! Every thing says Mink Creek up there!

Those of you that know me know that there is not one part of me that is a hiker! All of the mountains tops that I have been on is because my Dad pulled me up them! Then when I got to the top I was not as impressed with the view as he would like me to be! We hiked super slow, steady, but slow!
Pictures during one of our many breaks!

The hike wasn't that bad! It was super shaddy! On the way back down I was impressed that we had went so far!
A picture of Scout Mountain where! We were supposed to be! It was on the east side! Half way through the hike I realized we weren't going were we were suppose to!
The top of the trial!
Here is the trail map! If you can figure out where the Scout Mountain please tell us cause we will do it next year!

Gold Panning!

My Friend Ryan sometimes comes up with the craziest things to do! I asked what he was going to do the next day and he said he was going panning for gold and asked if I wanted to come along! I said heck yes! Did you know that Idaho had its own little gold rush! But instead of the people moving west from the  east most came from the west (California) to the east (Idaho)! Love it! Well at first Ryan wanted to go to panning on the Portnef! I decided that wasn't very safe and I would drive us up to the Mink Creek area! Well it was the end of July and there wasn't much of a creek! We struggled to fine running water! As we talked about panning for gold, Ryan and his friend discussed how rich they were going to make it I thought of how this was the hope that all gold miners hoped for! That if they put in a little are hard work they would be able to be able to afford the finer things in life! I didn't tell them that we weren't going to fine gold I just let them dream!
This is Ryan filling the pan  once we finally found some water!
Ryan isn't an out doors time of person! he was freaking out because he slipped down the mountain side! He was super funny when a bee would come by! He would scream like a little girl and come hide behind me! It was my favorite part of the day! He has never been stung by a bee before but he is pretty sure he is allergic to them!
The sceanery was beautiful! What a pretty butterfly!
More gold panning by Ryan's friend but for Ryan it was playing in the creek!
I helped supervise!

Lemmon Vacation: Playmill

Do you remember my good old friend Justin? The crazy kid that called me "Babe" in Sunday School! (Blog of January 4th of this year)! Justin be came my friend for the most part... He developed a super annoying habbit of calling me pet names (like on facebook for the whole world to see) or just to make me mad! Now before I tell the rest of this story Justin do not like like me! We are friends and he likes to embarrass me because it makes me go red! When we arrived at the Playmill I had to go to the bathroom really bad! I walked into the front and hear this:
J: "Love! I am so glad that you finally came to visit me here!
M: I have to go to the bathroom! (I ran to the bathroom thinking that he would leave and I wouldn't have to worry)
He was waiting for me!
J: Honey! Are ready for the play?
M: I am going to the later play I just really need to go to the bathroom!
J: How am I going to deicate my song to you?
Then I just walked out!
So when we walked in to see our show I was relieved to not see him! Then while we were being sat I see him and he looks and says "I believe it is your birthday!"
Me: Nope!
So when the Playmill people do birthdays they usually pull people up and sing to them! I was hoping to hide but I was in the middle of the middle! When birthdays came around Justin was sent up hire so I was glad! Then he announced the birthday and then looked at me and mouthed I am coming for you! He then climbed right through about 10 people and stood by me until it was his turn again!
M: Justin go away! Just go away!
J: How old are you turning today?
M: It isn't my Birthday
Natalie: She is turning 28
J: I have one more birthday! This dew drop from Heaven is Melissa Wilding and she is turning 28!
Then he sat on my lap while he sang to me! Holy Cow I could have died! I was so embarrassed! After he was done singing he kissed my hair by my ear!
This is a picture of Justin on my lap! Courtesy of Natalie (such a good friend)!
Oh I could have died! I hit him and then he said "Mam I am not sure why you hit me. I am just doing my job"
At the end of the play Debra looked at me and said "You need to go say hello to your friend" I didn't want to till Heather Natalie's cousin said that I had too! So I shook every one hand! I get to Justin and he says "Honey give me a hug" So I did! Then he looks at Ruth (it was 7 brides for 7 brothers) and said "Ruth don't be jealous" Then kissed the top of my head! I hit him and went on to the next person! Natalie said that the only way that I was going to get him to leave me alone was to look at him and say Get over here (in a really annoying voice)! She said this to me the whole vacation! So I said Damn Deer to her! Lets just say that was the most I have ever sworn!
I was a little bit nervous about the next night but he got Kenna instead!
He kept putting her head on his shoulder and she would pull it up! Alex didn't think it was that funny! Good thing they are friends! During intermission he tried to sell me a popcorn but I wouldn't buy one! The man two seats down from me bought one and He tried to sell him two and he just wanted one! Then He pointed at me and said are you dating him! It would have been funny if the girl seating next to me hadn't leaned over and said actually it is our 4th year anniversary! I told her that Justin was my friend and a little bit crazy! I avoided him after the show that night!
On Beauty and the Beast he showed us to our seats and tried to hold me hand! I said Justin stop! When it was time for birthdays he tried to get me to go up but I wouldn't go! Then he tired to get Natalie up  there and she wouldn't go either even if it was almost her half birthday! Bailey Jaxson and I were walking passed the playmill after dinner and we saw him! He came up and talked to him and were very excited to see him in his costume! They told him that he was their favorite!
I decided to get a picture with him in his Cogsworth costume! He did a very good job in his roles! The plays were amazing! Fiddler made me tear up and Beauty and the Beast made Kenna cried! I laughed at her and Alex thought I was crying to! I am such a bad sister! I would recommend that you go and see them they are all great!

Lemmon Vacation: Yellowstone

Months of anticipation came before this Vacation! I love plays and so do the Lemmons! We decided in January to go to the Playmill for the 50th Anniversary! They were doing 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Fiddler on the Roof, and Beauty and the Beast! We decided to make a weekend of it and go see all three plays! We stayed in the a cabin! I was also super excited to go Yellowstone! I read a book last summer that made me really want to go to Yellowstone and especially see the Old Faithful Inn!
Alex, Brooklyn, Kenna, Natalie, and I on the ride up!
Yellowstone was a lot of fun with this car load! Lots of parting!
Alex and I at one of the Falls! We just don't take enough pictures together!
Alex and Kenna! Super cute couple!
Kirsten and Heather photo bombing the kiss through Brooklyn!
We went to a part of Yellowstone I have never been to! We went Mammoth Hot Springs!
Picture of the Hot Springs!

Me! Alex took this photo of me and a nice person ask "Do you want a picture of the two of you?" No thank you! "Are you sure? It is no problem" Yup this is my sister's fiance and I we already have a picture together!
Jaxson and I hiked around mouth together! We had some great conversations!
While we were driving out of the park! Natalie had had her fill of Yellowstone and people were pulling over and going slow! I said why are they going so slow? And Natalie said people are pulling over to look at the Damn Deer! I looked at her and smiled and said Natalie that is an elk! I thought it was so funny!

Picture from the top of Quake Lake looking at the other side of the Valley!
Bays and I on the top!
Other day of Yellowstone!
I felt like a hypie is my Mackay Tie-dye shirt and braid!
Waiting for Old Faithful!
Ya! It came! I had a really fun time listening to the people talk behind me! They were from California and very interesting/slightly inappropriate!

Best Friends! Alex tried to photo bomb every photo!
Love it!
Sisters, Sisters! We sang that song one night! After Natalie sang and danced  (Joined by Jill Jensen) to "For they say when you marry in June"!
Another look at Old Faithful the second time!
Da Da Da Na: Old Faithful Inn
Look how cool the inside looks! It is really old and it is amazing! One day I will stay there!
I am super excited!
Love this fire place and clock!
From the bottom to the top!

Sawtooth Magic

Since I was little (about 5) I have gone to the Sawtooths for a Family Reunion that is not my family! But when you have been going so long you really are Family! I can't imagine my life without them! I love getting ready for the cabin! My parents love to over pack!
Every year I make Gail! Oatmeal raisin cookies! I always make to much! This a picture of only a part of the whole bowl!
A large part of the Cabin is the Beach both Alturas and Red Fish! These Pictures are of Alturas!
Ruby and Uncle Darin!
Sidney and Blake!
Brayden's Back was super Burn!
Ruby kickin it on the floaty!
When we went to Red Fish we had to cut our trip short! Sidney Lyn and I went on a jet ski ride and we saw the smoke and I though weird place to have a control fire! Then my parents came and told us it was a real fire! Needless to say we got out safe with only my Dad getting in a small fight with a crazy person! The fire was about a hundred feet from the road on our way out!
Sundays in Stanley are awesome! We go to a Meditation Church (nondemonational) it has stain glass windos and the picture below is the same that you look out to!
We go to the fish hatchery after church!
The cousins looking out on the Salmon River!
Ruby seeing what Oliver is doing!
We did great things like going to hot pots!
PS the fire caused us to have 25 hours with out water! But that still didn't deture us from having fun!
