Sawtooth Magic

Since I was little (about 5) I have gone to the Sawtooths for a Family Reunion that is not my family! But when you have been going so long you really are Family! I can't imagine my life without them! I love getting ready for the cabin! My parents love to over pack!
Every year I make Gail! Oatmeal raisin cookies! I always make to much! This a picture of only a part of the whole bowl!
A large part of the Cabin is the Beach both Alturas and Red Fish! These Pictures are of Alturas!
Ruby and Uncle Darin!
Sidney and Blake!
Brayden's Back was super Burn!
Ruby kickin it on the floaty!
When we went to Red Fish we had to cut our trip short! Sidney Lyn and I went on a jet ski ride and we saw the smoke and I though weird place to have a control fire! Then my parents came and told us it was a real fire! Needless to say we got out safe with only my Dad getting in a small fight with a crazy person! The fire was about a hundred feet from the road on our way out!
Sundays in Stanley are awesome! We go to a Meditation Church (nondemonational) it has stain glass windos and the picture below is the same that you look out to!
We go to the fish hatchery after church!
The cousins looking out on the Salmon River!
Ruby seeing what Oliver is doing!
We did great things like going to hot pots!
PS the fire caused us to have 25 hours with out water! But that still didn't deture us from having fun!

Kenna's Dream Come True!

During Elementry in the 4th grade while studing Idaho History you usually went on a field trip to Massacre Rocks outside of American Falls! Kenna on the other hand was never able to go! Here is why told from my prospective! I remember sitting a the kitchen table doing my math homework (I was such a good student) My Dad was getting to chaparone Kenna's field trip! He was getting flashlights -Twine and all sorts of odd things for this field trip! I looked at him and said "Dad you know that you are going to Massacre Rocks"! He looked at me and said "Yes Melissa" I thought wow my Dad is super over prepared why would you need flashlights! The day of the field trip my Dad drove his own car cause he gets sick! As he was following the bus but an ambulence drove down our rode so he followed it just to make sure it wasn't one of our neighbors! So when he got back on the rode he wasn't behind the bus anymore! When they got to where they were going there wasn't a bus! So he went to the visitors center! He asked where the Ellis field trip was and they gave him a puzzled look! They informed him that they didn't have a field trip that day! It then clicked that he wasn't at Massacre Rocks he was at Craters of the Moon (Hense the flashlights)! He tired to take a cutoff road but needless to say after letting Kenna drink a whole box of Capri Suns and having her throw up they just drove passed!
This year like most year our family was going to be gone for Kenna's birthday! So I decided to surprise her with a picnic dinner to Massacre Rocks! We had a blast taking pictures and just being goofy!
Proof She made it! Alex is so excited!

Smuin Reunion!

The Smuin Reunion! This is a reunion of my actual family! It is my Grandma Wilding's side of the family! One of the best parts of the Smuins is how loud they are! I feel super quite around them and we know that I am really not quite! I really love them and it was super fun to hang out with them all last week! A special shout out to Aunt Joy who make me dinner every night and My Grandma who made me breakfast every day! I am pretty much a spoiled Girl!
Love the view of the campers with the back side of Pebble in the back ground!
Heidi and Ruby!
The little explorer!
Michael and Ruby at the creek!
She was a little unsure!
Floating!
Reagan to the Rescue!

Jake putting a big side of the bank on dam they were building!
Nope she still didn't like it!

My Dad cooling off in the background!
She was ticked that Michael laid her in the water!

Finally she found some thing that she loved!

It was great to hang out with my Smuin Family! It reminded me of all the awesome times we had as children! I Love It! Family is the Best!
