Just So You know I am going to ROCK IT!

I have decided to reafirm (publicly because those of you that know me really well already know this montra) that what ever life throws at me I am going to Rock It! I make this commitment all the time but sometimes I need to be reminded! Yes things may not be going as I have planed or maybe life sometimes just stink but I am going to Rock It one way or another! Now I know some of you are thinking what does rock it mean! Well It means that I am going to hit what ever comes at me with full Melissaness and make the bad times good and the good times better and the better times awesome and the awesome times spectacular and the spectacular times.... (I really could go on forever because I really like these types of discriptive words- So I will stop because you get the point and I have used my favorites and the ones I can spell) Some times you have to make your own fun! So whenever you are about to do something you really don't want to do or are scared to do just remember that you should Rock It too!

It won the Most Beautiful!

This pumpkin Won the most beautiful Pumpkin at FHE! She might have been the only one on the table but she wore the title proudly!

 

Sad to say she didn't age very well! Substance abuse may have been a factor!

Happy Anniversity House

So I am pulling an Abby! Pretend that you are reading this on October 15, 2011 (I am only a month late)

My House and I have been together for a whole year! I know that you are very surpised that I could commit to somthing for that long but it has happened! What a year it has been! I have had such a great journey with this money sucking pit (which I say with but really house are expensive because you want to decorate them and improve them! This next year I am on a freeze)!

Some of the Improvements are:

No More Ugly Pole! I had Andrew and Shaun Lemmon put in a sprinkler system, extra parking spot, and since we were at it new Landscaping!

Redid the whole upstairs:

Some people look at a purple wall and ask why! I look at a purple wall and say Why Not!

Every room was also painted from Kenna's old room of Bright red and white, My shade lighter then Lafonda Teal, and the slate blue in Kim's old room it is a house full of color! We also cleaned the woodfloors in the extra room so that Kim could move in! (next time we will need to check the floors before we remove the carpet)

We have had great times in this house! Dance Parties, Bridal and Baby Showers, Pizza Parties, Smore Parties, and a ton of laughter! We have gone through many roommates Kim Clinger (lost to Rexburg where she is working her dream job), Kenna Wilding (because the crazy girl changed her name to Morgan), Meagan Richards (who is temperally in Washington and will come back in January). So most nights it is Just me and the house but we are surviving! 

Like Brother Like Brother!

One day I got this text from Kimberly my sister in law! I know that many of you are not suprised to see that Michael could fit into the Drier! But many of you may not know that Kyle to can fit in a Drier too! Sure he had to take off his shoe to get in all the way in!

 

Getting out was a different story! The hole was uber little!

Heart touching Teaching Moments

So I have always wanted to be one of those crazy teachers that you learn a lot from! I have desided that I am probably more of the crazy then the learning! I am working at it! I am had a writting assignment about the Constitution and how it effects the students in their life and this is a quote from one of my student's paper!
 “I can say things with out going to jail. I can belong to any religious groups I want I can dress like I want I have a home where I can live or wher I’m safe I used to live in mexico and I was afraid because the soldiers could come in and take my family members and kill them, and ther was nothing we could do. We didn’t have any rights that’s why I moved to America”
    I have heard from one of the other teachers that his dad was killed by the local drug lord. I really like this student he struggles with English but he trying his hardest! 
    I am truly greatful for all that I have been given. To live in this Country where are freedoms are protected. We forget it and take things for adavantage! I love the USA! We rock!

My New Hair!

Homecoming Again! But this on is different!

There are very few things that I would miss conference for but call me a sinner or a rebell if you must but I missed converence to go ISU Homecoming! Because I love ISU! Not as much as the gospel but it is a tradition. I will read the missed conferences! The best part of homecoming is the great friends that love homecoming just as much as I do! Kimberly loves ISU and Homecoming the most!  

We are twiners!

Not that other friends don't love it! I think it is more of a "I am going to love it cause Melissa and Kimberly are crazy! And will make us do it any ways!" attitude.  So here goes the traditions because we are all about tradition! Morning Breakfast, either we go to Elmers or this year it was Jumbo's! Then the parade! We park at the court house and sit some where near the Black Swan! The Parade starts at 10 but we are there by 9:30! If it is a old year then we have hot chocolate but it was so hot this year it made us laugh about the time Kimberly, Kelissa (it is like Melissa but with a K)  and I sat in kim's car trying to stay warm cause even that was cold!  We take pictures of Cami, Natalie, Kimberly and I by sticking out our arms! Michael did it this year and got a perfect shot in one take! (it was taken on Natalies Camera so I don't have it orr maybe Kims) This year we had a lot of extra people! Courtney and Andrew came with their kids which was nice that way our neighbors don't get mad at the space we take up!  Andrew, Kendra, Debra, and Zander came in the middle!  We yell at everything so we always get a ton of candy that no one wants! We sing the Bengal fight song and everything!

We love the game! Even though we hardly ever win! We were super close this year!

Towards the end of the 1st half we always take a picture break!

Funny Faces! The best part of this one is the older lady behinds me face!  The funny part is I am pretty sure that she is the mom of one of my cousin's husbands! Gotta love a big family!
